It’s common knowledge that frequent urination can be a sign of prostate problems. There are several other symptoms of prostate trouble, including erectile dysfunction, a weak or interrupted urine stream and inability to urinate.
What most people don’t know is that there is a new prostate treatment that can be administered at the earliest signs of prostate trouble. Okay, it’s not that new. It’s actually been used in the past by urologists and chiropractors alike, but somewhere along the line, urologists starting placing more trust in radiation, and chiropractors decided to limit their practices to other areas.
This is sad because I have patients who drive hundreds of miles for the treatment. That’s how effective it is.
It’s called digital rectal massage, and it’s exactly what it sounds like: a chiropractic technique by which the doctor directly massages your prostate gland to increase blood flow to the area and reduce inflammation.
Chiropractic massage provides the same benefits for the prostate gland as it does for any other part of the body--and for the same reasons. Blood is the body’s food supply, so when a chiropractor performs massage on a specific area, increasing its food supply, it enables that part of the body (and any other areas it influences through the nervous system) to function at a higher level of health. It also reduces inflammation.
If we keep inflammation low and healthy blood flow high, it stands to reason that the prostate will tend to function more closely to the way it is intended to function.
All I know is, it’s working wonders for every patient I’m treating.
